Open a File Explorer window. This can be done by pressing the Windows key with the letter E on your keyboard.

When the File Explorer window appears, navigate to C:\ProgramData\Merac

Open the file called “MStore.ini” it may hide the extension name and be called “MStore”.
It will have a cog symbol.

Update the data within the 2nd block (where it shows ServerString in the below image). This will have your current server connection. If you host a local server this may just be a computer name, if you use Merac hosting then this may be a domain address with a port. If you are unsure then contact support.

Save the file and close.

Open Windows Services.

Find the MeracUpdater service and restart it. If the option is greyed out, you do not have permission to complete this task - restart the device instead.

Windows MACS (Access Scanner Application)

If you use a Windows device for MAC Scanning, you need to locate the MACScanner.txt file which you should be able to find by going to File Explorer and searching for %AppData%\MACSScanner.txt in the top.

You should see a file like this

Android MACs & MTab

The process for changing the server string is the same in both Android applications.

Open the app and select 'Configure Settings'

You can type the Server string in here, note that you may need to use the IP address if connecting to a hosted server. You should do this in the format of 000.000.00.00, 1234

If we have asked you to change your hosted server path then we will endeavor to send the IP address you need.

You can then go and select 'Connect to Remote Database' to test you connection.

If we have asked you to update your server string, and you have a Merac hosted database, then you will need to contact us to get the IP address to insert here.
